PhD Students
Our HDR Program seeks to expand industry engagement, transform industry capability via 100 HDR student commencements, restructure trade capability via a refresh of industry training, and promote a proactive gender balance in the sector. We’re taking this opportunity to introduce each of our PhDs to you – those who are playing a significant role within our program, and in the broader industry.
Sharine Bendulo is a third-year Materials Engineering PhD candidate at ACM CRC research partner, Deakin University.
Sina Mansourdehghan is a civil engineer specialising in structural engineering and has a background and keen interest in data science. Sina is focused on integrating computer science into structural analysis and monitoring.
Sriram is an Aerospace Engineer, currently pursuing his doctorate in structural health monitoring using embedded sensor technology at The University of Western Australia.
Sara is a PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia. Her research, in collaboration with FUZE, focuses on the rehabilitation of offshore structural elements in Marine environments.
Roan's current PhD topic is on developing tools for optimisation and design of TPS for hybrid rocket nozzles covering high-temperature composites, with specific emphasis on ceramic matrix composites.
Sachi is pursuing her doctorate in designing and investigating a durable self-healing epoxy coating, at Deakin University.
Josh is an MPhil student at UNSW, and a Mechanical Engineer with experience in the maritime and composites industry.
Mustafa Siddiqui is a PhD student at UNSW, specialising in the development of advanced Digital Twin models for optimising manufacturing processes, particularly for Omni Tankers Manufacturing Plant.
Mohammed is a PhD candidate in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at The University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney).
