  • Expanded industry engagement and uptake of short courses.
  • The transformation of industry capability via 100 HDR student commencements.
  • Restructured trade capability via a refresh of industry training.
  • A proactive gender balance focus through our HDR Program.

It will achieve this by:

  • Fostering undergraduate pipelines within university Partners to channel promising and engaged students towards HDR aligned to emergent industry.
  • Engaging mature qualified engineers to reskill via HDR.
  • Providing guaranteed project funding for Australian Government Research Training Program scholarship holders.
  • Providing top-up scholarships to all scholarship holders.
  • Promoting industry placement within research to increase future employability.

We’re also planning to engage with the Women in STEM Ambassador to specifically address longer-term requirements for gender balancing within engineering.
