Education & Training
Our HDR Program is critical to upgrading industry capability through the employment of trained graduate engineers focused on future industry.
Our multifaceted Education & Training Program will achieve:
- Expanded industry engagement and uptake of short courses.
- The transformation of industry capability via 100 HDR student commencements.
- Restructured trade capability via a refresh of industry training.
- A proactive gender balance focus through our HDR Program.
It will achieve this by:
- Fostering undergraduate pipelines within university Partners to channel promising and engaged students towards HDR aligned to emergent industry.
- Engaging mature qualified engineers to reskill via HDR.
- Providing guaranteed project funding for Australian Government Research Training Program scholarship holders.
- Providing top-up scholarships to all scholarship holders.
- Promoting industry placement within research to increase future employability.
We’re also planning to engage with the Women in STEM Ambassador to specifically address longer-term requirements for gender balancing within engineering.
