Made in Australia with Italian Engineering: the pathway to a sustainable future

These events highlight the existing and potential synergies between Italian and Australian companies, creating a platform to showcase the latest innovations.

Taking place on Tuesday 21 May 2024 at The Rocks, NSW, this second exclusive forum encompasses the themes of ingenuity and the development of sustainable solutions. Its aim is to foster collaborations in advanced manufacturing that will drive the transition agenda toward a cutting-edge and environmentally greener future.

“ICCIAUS is helping to address Australia's manufacturing needs by aligning with the country’s national priorities,” said Dr Steve Gower, CEO of ACM CRC. “Many of these priorities also align with ours, here at the CRC.”

Dr Gower will appear in the forum’s second panel session, where he’ll join Ruilong Lu, R&D Manager Oceania, Prysmian, and Scientia Professor Veena Sahajwalla from the UNSW SMART Centre, to discuss Transforming Manufacturing: Innovations and Circular Economy.

“Across our four research programs, we have a strong focus on transport, energy, advanced manufacturing, and Industry 4.0, with circular economy and sustainability two of our major considerations.

“This forthcoming event is a great opportunity to bring together key stakeholders in the Australian and Italian manufacturing sectors so they may work collaboratively to drive relations and investment between the two countries. We’re excited by how these synergies could help advance Australia’s composites manufacturing industry, by enabling a step change in the country’s manufacturing competitiveness.”
