Become an ACM CRC Partner and help lead global change
The $100 billion international composites industry will undergo a major automation transition.
Australia needs to reposition its manufacturing and sovereign engineering capability to capture emergent markets.
Our consortium is helping to lead this transition.
And you can be a part of it..
About the Australian Composites Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (ACM CRC)
Our vision is to transform Australia’s established composite technologies capability into a world-class, highly automated, digitally enabled network of designers, manufacturers, and service providers. This will enable a step change in Australia’s manufacturing competitiveness, build sovereign capability, and capture the rising demand for just-in-time localised composites innovations, automation, and digitisation.
In short, we are Australia’s transformation opportunity in:
- Green Energy and EV Economies
- Supply Chain Security
- Industry 4.0 Transition
- Workforce Transformation
- Digital Production and Export
- Sovereign Manufacturing

Through our four Research Programs – Composite Materials; Manufacturing Processes; Simulation, Performance Prediction; Design, Integration – we aim to knock down the barriers spanning the current composites development lifecycle, from material design to product realisation.
We’re striving to up-skill the country’s sovereign capacity for more valuable outcomes, and to de-risk and enable future industry access to advanced automation, simulation and digitisation.
We encourage collaboration between project participants across all Programs, so all sectors can benefit.
How will you benefit?
Impact modelling for the CRC over the next 15 years indicates we’ll contribute $8.3 billion of direct economic benefit to the economy by capitalising on emerging sectors that need advanced composite materials. These sectors include the hydrogen economy, marine, defence, aerospace, space, civil infrastructure, automotive, transport, mining, oil and gas and sports and recreation industries.
As an ACM CRC Partner, you’ll play a significant role in building a digital-export-ready composites industry with cost-competitive, high-quality platform capability, thus positioning Australia as a global leader in automated composites manufacturing.
Key Benefits
- Help to reduce import dependency, penetrate export markets, increase sustainability, shorten prototyping lifecycles, and create an accelerated automated composites manufacturing capacity.
